My latest creation!

So I finally decided to make a wreath for my front door! I love the colors of rust orange and brick red! Kind of country looking. I didn't know what else to use to put our name on it, so I just used paper!.Hopefully it won't get weathered too quickly! What do ya think?

Of Duct Tape...Wet sheets..and another Houdini moment!

So for the past week, Delia has decided that she does not want to wear her diaper anymore! I thought that maybe she was just bored or something, but after a couple of days of waking up to a naked baby and wet sheets, I decided that maybe it was time to try and start potty training. Because Delia is so petite, she will not fit into the 2T training underwear(the smallest they carry at the store) so I found some in size 18 mos that will fit her perfectly, however it is going to take almost 2 weeks to get here! Sheesh! So in the mean time Delia still takes her diaper off, so I decided to use the opportunity to encourage her to sit on the potty. She LOVES to sit on it, but has yet to "go" in it! At times I am finding her running around with no diaper on! I tried one morning to let her run around the kitchen with nothing on...and sure enough she starting to go #1 on the floor..surprised I shouted her name and she FLIPPED out! Maybe that's a good sign, but I really need those underwear to really start trying!! During the day it is easier to catch her with her diaper off and just put it back on her, but the nights were starting to get frustrating! Christian's mom suggested DUCT tape...yep, that's right duct tape! Now I think she was kind of joking about it, but I was seriously desperate for a short term solution! One night before Delia when to bed, I grabbed the duct tape, taped it so she could not pull the tabs off...and it worked!! Hallelujah! but that only lasted 2 nights and the next morning she had wiggled out of it without budging the tape!! Here we go again! My little Houdini! If you know Delia like I do, it is that her philosophy is: if there is a WAY..she WILL find it! The child is determined, like her Father! Soooo, I now tape it ALL the way around her diaper, tighter and it seems to be working very well!! Christian thought it was hilarious and suggested I take a picture. Well, you know me I just can't take 1!!! She tends to get silly at times when the camera is on her (which most kids do I'm sure) so I had fun taking a couple of shots while she just ran around! she also grabbed her pajama shirt and tried to put her head through the arm hole..so this is what she looked like running around being silly while I took pictures! Oh, the memories she'll have! Now if I could just get those training pants here we could try..and I will report back whether or not the results we good or catastrophic!

Boulder Mountain, UT - 4th of July weekend

For the 4th of July weekend we drove to Boulder Mountain in Utah to spend a couple of days camping with my parents and their friends. It was a very long drive, but we had so much fun! We got to go four wheeling twice! Awesome fun! I love it, especially being with christian as the Driver..he is so sneaky!Delia got to play with the new family dogs, Papillons, and dig in the dirt! We also went simming at a waterfall, where it was extra muddy and Delia lost one of her sandals!For the 4th of july we went into the small town of Torrey and watched a parade that gave out candy, posters, and mini pies! and the best part abot it is that they turn around and do it again! Delia loved it! She epecially like dancing to the marching band(it was super tiny) It is such beautiful country and we are glad we went!

Well, here are our pictures from our Disneyland trip. We have been doing back to back vacationing, I just haven't had the time! some of these pictures are ones that my sister in-law took, she takes great pictures!! It was a super busy time, but we still had fun! We were able to do things and shows we had never gotten the chance to do before. A very memorable time! A bug's land in California Adventure was perfect for the kiddos. Delia especially loved playing in the water, she is somehow fascinated with it! she is my very own little mermaid! We watched the fireworks show almost every night, and the Fantasmic summer show on the water twice!! it was so cool. Delia got to dance with Mary poppins and burt!! A talking garbage can followed me around...pretty creepy! we ate dole whips after standing in line for 20 mins. Went on pirates of the caribbean 6 times (I never get tired of that ride)we saw the electrical parade where Delia blew Alice in wonderland a kiss!! and so much more!!
