Walking and steady!!

Delia is now officially walking all by herself! She just keeps going and going with out our help. We are giving her more freedom, ie. letting her get into everything and she is taking advantage of it. I would post a video of her, but the files are so large no prgram will upload it.

Diaper Houdini

Ok, so the other night, Delia woke up in the middle of the night. She has been waking up off and on for the past week( I think because of her teething) so it didn't surprise me when she woke up again. I went in to find her binki and fet a wet patch on the blanket she was on, but thought maybe it was drool or someting. Gave her a binki and wrapped her up in a soft blanket and rocked her to sleep(I usally don't do this!) As I was rocking her I felt a corner of her clanket was also wet, so I thought that maybe she threw up, smelled it, but it had no odor. Hmm, that's weird! So I put her back to bed. The next morning I went o get her up and there she was stiing in here crib bouncing up and down because she is so excited to see me and sitting righ next to her is...yep, you guessed it..her diaper! She had taken it off in the night and continued to pee all over her blankets and sheet!! So much for our early walk that day! I had to take everything off and wash it. It smelled so bad! I can't believe she has learned to take her diaper off. Then I thought, well she is wearing a new night gown with no pants, shorts, or whatever covering her diaper. It was just a matter of time until I gave her the chance to do it! So now she wears little pantaloons until she learns to take those off too. Wow, it really is just the beginning of many adventures!

Remember When?

Remember when? Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

Rocks, endless ROCKS!!

Okay, so I knew that we were going pretty much do the landscaping ourselves, which I look forward to, but before we moved when we were asked if we wanted free dirt, we said sure! It's free! But they forgot to mention that it was loaded with a sea of endless rocks! Not worth the effort we had put in the last 2 weeks. We have been digging, raking and shovling rocks about 4 hours a day in 95 degree weather. Not too pleasant. It's better at night when the sun is down, but there is so much to do that we have to get it done as soon as possible so we can get started once we have the money to do it. Just when we thought we were done with one spot...low and behold there are more and not just your normal sized rocks, some of thses rocks I swear came from SPACE!!Seriously. Every time we dug up another one, we would look at eachother and laugh a crazy psycho laugh. Don't get me wrong, it would have been fine for 2 days, but it was just a lot of work. Trust me it was owrse than what the pictures are showing!! But it feels good to know we are one step closer to doing up our yard. I just had to vent about my love hate relationship with rocks because we will be putting roks back in the yard(zero scaping is the requirement, no grass) but they will be better and prettier rocks with some trees and flowers. It's going to look good, I hope ;)

Yea! We're Here, Our new Home!

We have finally made it to Farmington, NM and are so glad to be here and done with moving! At least for a while anyway. We really like our new house. Of course there have been a list of problems, which is going to be fixed, but there are other small things that we will have to do without, like no drawers in the bathrooms!! But overall we are very pleased with the house especially for the fact that it is new and mostly interiorly designed to my taste. I absolutely LOVE the kitchen. Of course it is not top of the line, but it is pretty close to the kitchen I've always wanted! We really like our new ward. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming! We have had 1 meal and 2 desserts brought over already! There are a lot of parks out here and are very nice. What is mostly nice about them is that there is no grafiti anywhere! So nice! It is nicely rounded out here as far as financial class. You have your Million dollar homes in the Country Club and Pinon Hills, but you also have middle class, which is the area we are in and then lower class, but I have yet to see real ghetto. The city is just so much bigger than I thought I still have more exploring to do and I am sure it will take me a year to get really comfortable. We had a little trouble getting internet hooked up, especially becuase it's through Qwest(no choice here) and we have been used to cable and had to downgrade to DSL 1.5 the highest they offer in this area BOO :( We had to buy a DSL Modem and hook it up, but our computer was blocking the signal, sooo. After almost 2 weeks with no internet and phone...we have not been able to do much of anything! But we are finally up and running. I have taken a lot of picutres of the house and all the rooms. I kind of did it in a way to give a tour of the house. There is really not much to it, but so much better than an apartment! It's been great! Hope you like the pictures and let me know what you all think!

The Front of the House

The back of the house! It's kind of hard to tell distance from pictures, especially these ones, but apparently our back yard is about 60 Ft. by 70 Ft. somewhere around there. Much bigger than I was expecting! We have some fun plans for landscaping, but who knows how long that will be. I'm exciting to get things rolling though. It will be nice to have grass and a backyard for Delia to play and for get-togethers.

Other Views of the Living Room.

The Kitchen...my favorite Part. Don't you just love it! The faucet was a huge upgrade! But it was worth it!

The Master Bedroom and closet. What I like is the space for all my shoes! Wow! I didn't realize how many shoes I really had! The bedroom is much more spacious than the pictures show. The Closet is actually inside the bathroom...kind of weird, but we'll get used to it!

The Master Bathroom. It's pretty cool besides the fact that there are no drawers or any space except under the sink to put anything!! A bit frustrating..but I will carry on! I really like the faucets for the bathrooms also. they too were an upgrade. The mirrors are pretty cool. I like the shower and the extra room for the porcelean king!

Well, That's our house! Trust me it looks better in person that what the pictures show!
